I still remember the first time I cycled past Het Schip and I just couldn't keep my eyes off it! I didn't know what that building was, but I knew it was something incredibly special.

From there began my deep admiration & love for the Amsterdam School movement, and the beautiful craftsmanship that can be seen in both the inside and outside of buildings.

As a child, I have always been interested in the past; especially how people used to live and work. One of my schools used to be an old colonial hospital during the war. I found a book detailing the history of the building; what certain rooms were used for (eg surgery, bomb shelter) and I found it utterly fascinating. My preference is always a building with a history. Whenever I step into one, I feel like I'm stepping back in time and into the stories of our ancestors. It is therefore critically important to me that buildings from the past are preserved.

In my first solo exhibition, I am paying tribute to the Amsterdam School movement; specifically 3 buildings located in the Spaarndammerbuurt area of Amsterdam West.

In terms of pricing, The first ‘Purple’ block, The second ‘Yellow’ block, and The third block: Het Schip individually cost €365. Numbers, Doors and Windows individually cost €315. All prices are inclusive of VAT/BTW, but exclude shipping.
