First impressions

This is the former Blokker store. It’s small, but the wooden layout guides you through in a calm, organised way. Compared to their Nieuwendijk Amsterdam store, the range feels more limited, though it had just opened when I visited.

• Candle holders (always a strong selection)

Product turnover is fast, so stock changes often.

Location notes

De Pijp is well-connected and less busy than the city centre. Easy to pop in for a quick visit. The Nieuwendijk branch has more stock but is in a busier, more tourist-heavy area.

Budget to mid-range.

Would I go back?

Yes if I knew what I was looking for. For browsing, I would prefer to go to their Nieuwendijk location.
